Please plan on arriving, feeding baby, and waiting for the infant to fall asleep before any photography begins, as newborns are exceptionally better models right after eating, when they’ve just settled into a nap. Because of this, the newborn session is a much longer session, to accommodate feedings, diaper changes, and taking time to woo the baby back to sleep. Please schedule accordingly.
We prefer to photograph babies either nude or in diaper covers, with various accessories. We realize that your child has many fun new outfits, but clothing does not usually fit a newborn properly and becomes a distraction. For girls, tutus are always fun and blankets and hats are fantastic for either gender. Since many new parents’ snapshots of the baby focus on the new expressions which develop daily, professional newborn photography focuses on the sleeping baby, because there is no other time in the child’s life that sleep will be the main activity. Because the safety of your newborn is of utmost importance, we do not photograph newborns with siblings younger than eight years old. Please save sibling photographs for the 6 month session.

Baby’s First Year is purchased in advance at the time of the first session. It includes four sessions in-studio at the landmark points of your baby’s first year – Crawling (approximately 3 months), Sitting up (approximately 6 months), Standing (approximately 9 months), and a Birthday Session. This plan features a complimentary 5×5 print from each session.

We recommend two “must have” outfits, with up to two additional outfits that we can use if the session is moving smoothly.
Portrait sessions are valid for one immediate family (mom, dad, and children).
