We get a lot of questions, so we thought we’d put some of the big questions together for you!
What makes you different than other photographers?
There are so many photographers these days, we realize it is sometimes hard for our clients to understand what makes each photographer different. The reason that we’re unique is simply that we pull from a variety of photography styles in our arsenal to create a beautiful portfolio that expresses who you are through our artwork. Many photographers are popping up who use only natural light and photograph families and children in their own environments, laughing, playing, and many traditional photographers work only in their studio to create very formal images. We are neither and we are both. We work in-studio and outdoors, using natural light, artificial lights, studio lights, flashes, and many times, a crazy combination of several to create images that are both timeless and personal. We shoot for the moment in a way that works for the moment, so your session will many times have a combination of several “looks” to define the dynamic you that exists in this ever-changing world.
What is included with the session fee?
The session fee includes the artist’s time and talent posing you, setting up lighting, capturing the image, and then the post production that you don’t see includes editing your images to the artist’s vision. Also included are design consultation and custom graphic design for any products purchased (cards, books, etc). Senior and Newborn sessions include a proofbook featuring all of your images.
Do you provide a CD of all of my images?
We do not include a CD of images with our sessions. As artists, there are two fundamental parts of the photographic process: capture and print. If we simply provide all of our images digitally, we are forfeiting the quality of our artwork, as we cannot stand behind every printing lab available worldwide to insure that you’re receiving the best possible print. We have; however, done extensive research and use a professional lab that produces exceptional quality Kodak prints, which we can guarantee will be perfect, to create our beautiful mounted lustre prints, which have been coated with a linen texture for optimum beauty and longevity. And nothing beats the phenomenal look of our metallic prints – you just have to see them to believe it!
We do provide a facebook image with each 8×10 image purchased, because we know you want to share your family with the world!
Do you have a minimum purchase?
No, we do not have a minimum purchase. We offer both a la carte options and collections for you to choose from, so you get exactly what you need for your home, family, and friends!
Do you offer products other than standard prints?
Yes! We have such a wide variety of products available! We offer everything from gallery-style canvas wraps, custom coffee table books, and personalized greeting cards; to sweet memory boxes and striking jewelry pieces!
I am so excited about my images, when will I be able to see them?
We strive to photograph everything perfectly in the camera to provide a quick turn-around; however, we do edit all of our images to insure you’re seeing them at their best, so we request that you allow up to two weeks for this process.
How will I order my images?
Your images are best viewed in-studio on our projection software, which allows us to completely customize your artwork. A viewing appointment will be set-up approximately three weeks following your session. Please bring all decision-makers to this session, as you will be able to view your images, select your favorites, and place your order. There will be perks for ordering at this time, which we want you to be able to take advantage of, so make sure you leave the kids with a sitter and come prepared! We recommend using our viewing appointment prep tools to look around your house and find the spots you’d like to address, so we can customize your portraits to fit your space exactly (this includes measuring your walls, noting colors and styles you’d like to match, and preferably, providing a photograph).
